Loamstead Edible Landscaping provides landscape design services with a focus on vegetable gardening.

  • Assess

    • The design process begins with a consultation and site analysis to determine your landscaping needs. We will discuss what features you want incorporated into your space, survey the area, and create a base map.

  • Define

    • We will produce a number of design concepts that will be reviewed during a second onsite meeting.

  • Refine

    • Once a final design concept is established, we will produce a final design that includes a rendered scale plan, installation cost estimate, irrigation plan, plant list, and scope of work.

  • Fees:

    • Garden Assessment and Cost Estimate: $60

    • Large Vegetable Garden Design: $300

    • Full Landscape Design: $750

    • * One half design fee collected prior to producing design concepts

    • * Large vegetable garden design and full landscape design includes site assessment and cost estimate 

    • * Garden Assessment fee is deducted from installation cost

Seasonal Planting and Coaching

We provide seasonal amending and planting for your vegetable garden. Soil is the most important component for a healthy and successful vegetable garden and we provide high quality organic compost and amendments that set your garden up for success.

Seasonal amending and planting includes:

  • Removing old plants and composting them

  • Lightly incorperating organic compost and amendments (organic slow release fertilizer, worm castings, oyster shell flower)

  • Planting select organic seeds and starts

  • Irrigation testing and repairs

  • Garden coaching
